Results from Premier Questionnaire
Results from Questionnaire
We showed our completed animated music video to a sample of 5 participants that fitted the demographics of our target audience and asked both males and females. I chose to create this questionnaire with both open and closed questions to produce Quantative data (statistics numerical data favoured by Positivists) and Qualitive data (descriptive data favoured by Interprevists).

From the results it can be seen that overall the participants liked the music video with an
As the score suggests that it was acceptable to the audience this also suggests that there was aspects that the audience felt needed to be changed or some aspects.

These results show that there are aspects of the music video with the participants both liked and
disliked and to improve the overall appeal of the music video such as make the characters less “static” or improving the “lip sync”.

From the results of question 4 there are some common aspects among them:
- there are reference to the lip sync of the animation that suggests that we may not of lip synced the song that accurately.
- There was also reference to the use of lack of movement of the characters which could lead them to seemly slow to the audience, perhaps by adding more movement it may make the image seem more fluid.
I feel that if we were to address these issues that the overall response would be more positive however as we have already completed the music video we may be able to apply these constructive criticism in the creation of other animated pieces in the future.

From these statistics i can see that both mine and Zak's art style did suit the alternative rock genre well with an average score of 6.4 both mine and Zak's styles were cartoon like or chibi like but perhaps a more realistic art style may have come across more appealing to our target audience.

Strengths -
- We were able to collect both quantative and qualative data from the open and closed questions, this allows us get an insight into our target auidences view of the music video.
- Questionnaire surveys can be carried out relatively cheaply.
- If samples of people are selected at random and are large enough it should be possible to generalise the results to a larger population
Weaknesses -
- People may not respond truthfully making the results less valid either because they wish to present themselves in a socially acceptable manner also known as the Hawthorne effect.
- It may be difficult to obtain a random sample of the population because some people who are selected refuse to answer questions or it may be difficult to obtain a full list of the target population from which to select a random sample. This means in relation to our questionnaire that it is difficult to get a representative sample of our target auidnece.
